What is Live Metal Exchange (LIME)?
LIME – Live Metal Exchange is an online B2B platform where metal scrap and recycling material buyers, sellers and traders meet and trade. Sellers list the material they have, buyers post what they need, and LIME matches them automatically by category.
Which materials can I buy or sell on LIME?
Non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass, lead, nickel, zinc, aluminium, tin, silver and magnesium; ferrous material such as pig iron and stainless steel; and other recycling material such as silicon, plastic, paper, e-scrap, battery scrap and electric motor scrap.
Can I register as a buyer, a seller or both?
Yes. You register as a Buyer, a Seller or Both. A Both account gets everything a buyer and a seller get: you can list material for sale and post requirements from one account.
How do I register on LIME?
Choose a subscription plan (1 month, 3 months or 1 year), register as a Buyer, Seller or Both, add your company details, business categories and location, verify your email with the 6-digit code and complete the online payment.
How do I log in?
Log in with your registered email and the one-time code (OTP) LIME sends to that email. No password is needed.
How does LIME match buyers and sellers?
LIME matches every listing and requirement by category. Sellers see the buyers whose requirements fit their listings, and buyers see the sellers whose listings fit their requirements, in Your Matches as soon as they log in - plus other companies in their business categories.
Can I place bids and send quotes?
Yes. Buyers place bids on live listings and sellers send quotes on live requirements from Commodities. You accept or reject offers in Bids & Quotes, and get a live notification and an email for every bid and quote.
Does LIME handle the payment for the material?
No. LIME has no payment system for buying or selling material. Buyers and sellers contact each other directly by phone or email and agree the deal between themselves. The only payment on LIME is the subscription for your plan.
Is there a free trial or a refund?
There is no free trial; the plan is paid in advance. If you are not satisfied, email info@design-accent.com within 15 days of the payment date to cancel and ask for a refund; the amount is refunded after a 10% cancellation charge.
